I have a friend who has been dealing with the life altering consequences of DUI charges…classes, loss of license, financial strains. I realize (and he) realize the purpose for such stringent consequences and how wrong it was to drink & drive. However, it's been going on for a couple years and depression has taken over. I can't find any info online about this; perhaps I'm using the wrong words to search with? I'm looking for some reference material to provide him on others in his situation, maybe some ways to deal with it all. I can't stand the hopelessness I see in his eyes. He made one bad decision. Again, neither of us discount the potential dangers and what could have gone wrong that night, but it doesn't sit well with me that he has been overcome by the consequences to the point of SEVERE depression. Any resources or advice would be greatly appreciated.
